Dual smite seems to be back with air of enchanting. Not as good as before but we might see it come back. It is certainly quite viable.

Also the new elite orders seem to work with certain modified versions of IWAY. I mean right now it is pretty much an iway only skill. Other builds can afford to bring multiple mesmer or mesmer secondaries for drains.
It's got high energy and a high cost in life so I can't call it great yet but.... Monk prots/channeling get owned pretty quickly. Bonders are certainly aren't all that useful against this type of IWAY. It's enough to overload monks just enough with channeling and all prot stripped for 5 seconds to get that initial kill that starts the avalanche.

Also, its just mean on an altar match. No enchants against IWAY = GG. No team is going to be holding long if IWAY start carrying this skill.

Still gotta wait and see what other skills can almost singlehandedly revitalize a build.

Smite is deffinately back my guild won the halls 4 times the other day with smite again thanks to factions

It's still too early to say much about what faction is gonna do to the ascent scene as peopel are still trying out new builds and stuff. but give it a while and it'll all settle down to a couple of builds.

But I'm pretty sure that if you don't have factions... then don't expect to get into a group in ascent in the near future.

To me, Air of Enchanting is great for Dual-Smite users. But then, I've never tried Dual-Smite Xp. I've seen the old version and this new version, as well as seeing them both in action. The old is better, but this version is better than nothing.
